Indoor Air Quality & Air Purification in Deltona

ActivePure air purification for homes and businesses

Florida Homes Stay Closed Up. That Is the Problem.

For most of the year your windows stay shut and the same air cycles through your house over and over. Add Florida humidity and you get the conditions that let mold, odors, dust, and everyday household chemicals build up in the air you breathe indoors.

Filters help, but a standard filter only catches what physically passes through it. Air purification treats the air and surfaces throughout the space while your system runs. Synergy installs and services ActivePure air purification for homes and businesses across Deltona, DeLand, Sanford, Orange City, Lake Mary, and Daytona Beach.

Air Scrubber by ActivePure

The Air Scrubber by ActivePure installs directly into your existing HVAC ductwork and works whenever the system fan runs, treating indoor spaces up to 3,000 sq. ft.

According to the manufacturer, it reduces VOC gases, smoke, and odors without producing ozone, and it helps protect your heating and cooling equipment from buildup. Installation is discreet — in most homes you will never see it. ActivePure Technology was inducted into the Space Technology Hall of Fame by the Space Foundation in 2017.

For homes with mini-split systems, the Air Scrubber Mini EM retrofits the same technology to a ductless system, covers up to 500 sq. ft., and draws only about 20 watts.

Aerus Pure & Clean: No Installation Needed

If you rent, or you only want to treat one room, the Aerus Pure & Clean is a portable plug-in unit covering up to 2,000 sq. ft. It combines ActivePure Technology with a HEPA filter screen and carbon brushes, and it is ozone-free.

Nothing to install and no ductwork required — useful for a bedroom, a home office, a nursery, or a small business front room.

What the Manufacturer's Testing Shows

ActivePure states that in unaffiliated laboratory testing its technology significantly reduced a long list of airborne and surface contaminants — including common bacteria, viruses, and mold species. You can review the underlying test data yourself in ActivePure’s published test results rather than taking a sales claim at face value.

We want to be straight with you about two things. First, these are the manufacturer’s test results under laboratory conditions, not our own, and results in a real building depend on the space, the equipment, and how it is run. Second, in ActivePure’s own words, the technology does not replace the need to follow public health guidelines and should be used as a complementary technology. We will not tell you an air purifier makes anyone immune to anything.

For Businesses: Commercial Air Quality

Air quality is a business problem too. Waiting rooms, salons, restaurants, and offices all deal with odors and shared air, and customers notice.

The AP5 MBOE is a compact unit built specifically for commercial ice machines and deli coolers — the places odor and bacteria quietly develop in a food-service operation. For whole-building treatment, the ducted Air Scrubber scales to your existing systems. See our commercial HVAC services for how we handle multi-system buildings.

A Note on Ozone-Generating Units

We also have access to the activTek Induct line, which pairs photocatalytic oxidation with intentionally generated ozone (O₃). We mention it separately and deliberately, because ozone is not the same product category as the ozone-free units above.

Ozone-generating equipment is not permitted for sale in California or Canada, and it is generally not appropriate for continuously occupied spaces. It has legitimate uses — certain odor remediation situations, for example — but we will only recommend it when it genuinely fits, and we will explain the tradeoffs first. If a company sells you an ozone generator for your bedroom without that conversation, be skeptical.

Which One Is Right for Your Home?

It depends on whether you have ducted or ductless equipment, how much square footage you need to cover, and whether you are solving a specific problem — a persistent odor, a family member with allergies, a musty room — or improving things generally.

We will look at your actual system and tell you which option makes sense, including telling you when you do not need one. Call 407.412.7188 or contact us.
